Once I adapt to one tool, I find a new one that will change how we see the education process in the future. This week I was researching learning badges to denote achievments for courses or effort. I use these badges in Garmin for steps, runs, swims and cycling. This badge concept is exploding. As I type, I’ve been working on this badge. I’ve completed 1,470.4 or 67% of this badge. When I achieve this, I will get a whooping 8 points toward my Level.

These badge systems are available in many forms on Moodle and Canvas. While I was reasearching them, I found a company that will connect blockchain technology to your badges so that you will never be able to lie or exagerate about your educational achievements.
I think just the badge system will have dramatic results in future employment where your current badges are compared with others’ badges in various areas of learning or accomplishments.
