Web hosting has many different solutions at many different costs. Many times when you choose your web hosting provider, you are given a list of providers whose software you may download.
Flywheel
Flywheel is a Managed WordPress hosting. It is highly recommended by Pat Flynn of (SPI) www.smartpassiveincome.com. He helps people start online businesses, and he has been very successful with it. I’ve started a few free classes with SPI. Flywheel has Agency and Reseller solutions that are easy to bill and build.
Namecheap
Namecheap, in my opinion, is a rising star in website hosting. They are easy to work with, and their customer service is quick and efficient.
Bluehost
I’ve been a Bluehost customer for years, and I shut off my hosting earlier this year. The prices rise a lot after your first year, but then it’s hard to move everything.
Squarespace
My tutoring business website is currently hosted on Squarespace. It is a drop-and-drag website solution. The images and templates are beautiful and easy to use. You can see it’s one of the pricer options. I like how professional it looks to my new clients.
Groove
Groove.cm and Groove.cm Pro is a web hosting company that specializes in marketing and affiliate selling. It’s a great solution for one quick website that will not grow in the future. If you have many websites or want to eventually be an Agency or Reseller of websites or website solutions and marketing, then the pro account is a great solution. I would compare the Groove.cm Pro package to Flywheel SPI’s Agency or Reseller solution.
Microsoft Azure
Microsoft’s Azure’s websites, hosting, and cloud solutions are the great unknown to me at this point. I feel like it is a trip down the rabbit hole with Alice as she visits an unknown land ruled by the King and Queen of Hearts. This may be a shoe that will be too big to walk with or it may be a great solution.
In summary, my next steps
I was thinking of transferring all my websites to Groove.cm Pro or Namecheap for simplicity. I currently have 3 blogs on Wordpress.com which I want to move to a long-term solution.
The software on Groove.cm is very limited to using the free account.
Namecheap.com has WordPress and open-source solutions.
After I review Azure, I’ll be able to determine what is the best solution for the next few years.
In the short term, my plan to create online classes via software is a 2023 objective. The hosting provider and its tools play into this decision for the software for my online future teaching.
